2. Unmatched Wet Slip Resistance (Safety)

The ANSI safety standard establishes that a hard surface floor should have a minimum wet Dynamic Coefficient of Friction (DCOF) of 0.42 to be considered safe.

• Standard Paint Chip (Flake) Floors: These systems often drop to a dangerous 0.40 when wet. The clear topcoat tends to pool over the flat vinyl chips, resulting in a smoother finish that loses significantly more traction when exposed to water or snow.
• Poly-Quartz Floors: Our system maintains a superior Wet DCOF of 0.75 – 0.85. Because quartz is a rigid, three-dimensional mineral, it naturally creates a highly aggressive, sandpaper-like profile that experiences almost no drop-off in slip resistance when wet. You get consistent, high-traction safety regardless of the weather.

3. A “Suit of Armor” for Your Floor

The vast majority of contractors install “Paint Chip” systems, which are essentially plastic and often installed as thin as 10 to 15 mils—about the thickness of a business card. Our Poly-Quartz system is applied at 100+ mils. By combining a dense broadcast of quartz with LABPOX 30—a 100% solids epoxy with a massive 13,000 psi compressive strength —and sealing it with LABFAST LO 85 polyaspartic , we essentially install a "suit of armor" over your floor.

1. SET-UP & PROPRIETARY CLIMATE CONTROL

Our first step is to set up our proprietary trailer, which is designed to completely control air and surface temperatures. This provides much more than creature comfort—it is a technical necessity for a perfect bond. While other companies can’t coat when it’s too humid or too cold, our controlled environment ensures a perfect chemical bond 365 days a year[cite: 52, 71].

2. DIAMOND GRINDING PREPARATION & DUST REMOVAL

We use heavy industrial grinders to remove the top laitance (surface) of the concrete. Grinding creates fine concrete dust that packs into the very pores we need to reach. Conventional vacuuming cannot dislodge this trapped dust, which acts as a "bond breaker" for resin coatings. We solve this with our industry-changing, Patent-Pending DeCe Technology machine, which uses sonic velocity air jets to dislodge dust so it can be HEPA-vacuumed away, ensuring a maximum resin-to-concrete bond.

3. INDUSTRIAL BASE COAT & QUARTZ BROADCAST

We formulate and spread LABPOX 30, a 100% solids, industrial-grade epoxy with a massive 13,000 psi compressive strength. While the base coat is liquid, we use a specialized blower to broadcast a dense layer of quartz aggregate—roughly 1lb per square foot. This creates a system over 100+ mils thick, which is nearly ten times thicker than standard "paint-on" or flake floors.

4. UV-STABLE POLYASPARTIC TOP COAT

The clear topcoat is the final protective shield that secures the quartz aggregate[cite: 84]. We use LABFAST LO 85, a professional-grade polyaspartic resin that combines industrial hardness with specialized mechanical flexibility.

• 150% Elongation (Industrial Flexibility): Unlike standard coatings that can become brittle and crack, LABFAST features an elongation at break of 150%. This allows the surface to expand and contract during extreme Minnesota temperature swings without peeling or losing its bond.
• UV-Stable & Non-Yellowing: Engineered with excellent UV stability to ensure your floor never "ambers" or fades, even with constant exposure to sunlight.
